Willo vs WillSuite
Same headline number, different bill. Theirs is per user and carries VAT; ours is per drafter and does not. For a practice that cannot reclaim VAT that is £30 a month, per person, before anything else.
Short version. WillSuite is the most widely adopted platform in the sector, with trade body endorsements and a LEAP integration. Willo costs the same for one user and a third as much for three. If you run LEAP, use WillSuite. If you are a practice that intends to grow, look hard at the pricing model.

The £150 that isn't £150#
Both products advertise £150. Only one of them charges you £150.
WillSuite's price is quoted plus VAT. Willo is not VAT registered, so ours is the whole amount. If your practice is above the VAT threshold you reclaim it and the two are level. If you are below it — as most one and two-drafter practices are — the real figures are £180 against £150, and that gap multiplies by every person you add:

The second difference is what the seat is counted on. WillSuite charges per user — every login. Willo charges per drafter — the people actually producing documents.
A correction we owe them#
An earlier version of this site stated that WillSuite required SWW or IPW membership. That was wrong. WillSuite's own pricing page imposes no membership requirement; the member/non-member tiering belongs to Sure Will Writer, a separate product. We have fixed it here and say so plainly rather than quietly.

Is WillSuite £150 per user or per practice?
Per user. WillSuite's own pricing page lists the Standard plan at £150 per user per month plus VAT with unlimited documents subject to fair usage. Willo is £150 per drafter regardless of how many people use it.
Do I need Society of Will Writers membership for WillSuite?
No — and this is worth correcting, because it is widely misreported and we have stated it wrongly ourselves in the past. WillSuite's own pricing page does not require trade body membership. The member/non-member tiering belongs to Sure Will Writer (£150 + VAT for SWW members at MSWW or above, £180 + VAT otherwise), which is a separate product produced by WillSuite Ltd for the Society of Will Writers.
Which is better for a firm already using LEAP?
WillSuite, almost certainly. They have a genuine LEAP Estates integration and we do not. If LEAP is your case management system, the integration will save you more friction than our pricing will save you money.
