An assistant for the questions you'd otherwise ring someone about.
Built into the software, for the "how do I" questions, the client email you're staring at, and the concept you want explaining before you explain it to someone else.
Ask Willo is an assistant built into the software. It answers how-to questions about Willo, helps you draft and reply to client emails, and explains estate planning concepts in plain terms. Included at no extra cost.
What it is genuinely good at#
"How do I do this in Willo?" The knowledgebase question you would otherwise search for, or raise a ticket about, or give up on. This is the bulk of what people use it for and it is where it saves the most time.
The email you are staring at. A client has asked something awkward, or you need to explain a discretionary trust to someone who has never heard of one, and it is half past six. Ask Willo will draft something you can edit into your own voice, which is a much better starting point than a blank reply box.
Explaining a concept before you explain it. Not because you do not know it, but because turning "periodic charge" into something a 74-year-old will follow is a separate skill from knowing what it is.
What it will not do#
It will not draft your wills. That is not a limitation we are apologising for — it is a design decision.
Drafting in Willo runs through the guided workflow because every clause in there is one we wrote and maintain, and every document is checked against itself before it leaves you. A language model improvising testamentary clauses produces something that reads plausibly and may be catastrophically wrong, and the person who signs their name to it is you.
There are products in this market leaning hard on AI drafting claims. Ask what happens when the clause is wrong, and who is liable.
It also will not give legal advice, and it will not replace ringing someone. Project Will is a support body with people at the end of a phone precisely because some questions need a person who has done the thing before.

Before you ask.
Does Ask Willo draft the will for me?
No, and it should not. Drafting runs through the guided workflow, where every clause is one we maintain and every document is validated before it leaves you. A will produced by a language model guessing at clauses is a professional negligence claim with a nice interface. Ask Willo helps you around the drafting; it does not do the drafting.
Can I rely on its answers about the law?
Treat it as a well-read colleague, not as counsel. It is genuinely useful for orienting yourself in an unfamiliar area and for finding the right question to ask. It is not a substitute for your own judgement, and where something matters, Project Will have people you can actually ring on 0333 049 5033.
Does it cost extra?
No. Included in £150 a month.
Does my client data go into it?
See security and data for what is and is not shared.
See it draft one of your cases.
Book a walkthrough with someone who drafts in Willo every day. They will open your kind of case, not a demo script, and you can stop them and ask anything.
