What is the best will writing software in the UK?
We would say Willo, and we built it, so weigh that accordingly. Does Willo offer a free trial?
No. Here is why. A fortnight alone with unfamiliar software, nobody to ask and no real client in front of you tells you whether you can find the buttons, and nothing else. So we do the opposite — a walkthrough with someone who drafts in Willo daily, then a month with everything switched on, the training and the support behind it. No contract, no notice period, no exit fee. If it is not for you, stop paying.
Do I need to be accredited or qualified to use Willo?
No. Will writing is not a reserved legal activity in England and Wales, and we do not gate the software behind a membership. Project Will, who build Willo, run free UKRLP-registered training if you want it — most people take it.
What documents can Willo draft?
Wills, including mirror wills and wills containing testamentary trusts. Lasting Powers of Attorney for both Health and Welfare and Property and Financial Affairs. Trusts, including property protection, life interest and discretionary trusts. Letters of wishes, severance of joint tenancy and the supporting paperwork that goes out with them.
Can I move my clients over from Arken or WillSuite?
Yes. Export your client data from your current system and we will map and import it for you rather than handing you a spreadsheet and wishing you luck. Because there is no contract at this end, you can run both in parallel for a month while you move.
