For accountants whose clients already ask.
You do their tax, their business, their succession planning — and then the will gets written by a stranger who knows none of it.
Willo lets accountancy practices bring will, LPA and trust drafting in-house. £150 a month for the firm, with free registered training first.
The natural overlap#
Accountants are often the professional a client trusts most and speaks to most often. You already hold the business structure, the shareholdings, the property, the pension position and — in an owner-managed business — the succession conversation.
Estate planning is the same conversation continued past the point of death, and clients routinely assume you already do it.
Business property and succession#
The sharpest overlap is where a business interest meets a will. Business property relief, shareholdings passing to a spouse who cannot run the company, a partnership agreement that conflicts with the will, children who work in the business and children who do not.
These are estate planning problems that need someone who understands the business — which is you, and usually is not the will writer down the road.
What it takes#
Competence before fees: Project Will's training is free and UKRLP-registered, UKPRN 10101187. Then software that assumes you draft occasionally rather than constantly — guided questions, validation, and a maintained clause set you do not have to keep current yourself.
Talk to your PI insurer about scope before you start charging for it.

Before you ask.
Is this an obvious fit for an accountancy practice?
For some, very. If you already advise owner-managed businesses on succession, or handle estates after death, the pre-death planning is the missing half and your clients assume you do it. If you are a compliance-only practice doing year-end accounts, it is a bigger leap.
Does it handle probate work?
No. Willo is pre-death planning. Post-death estate administration is different software — Isokon and LEAP Estates are the established UK names and we would point you there.
See it draft one of your cases.
Book a walkthrough with someone who drafts in Willo every day. They will open your kind of case, not a demo script, and you can stop them and ask anything.
